Hospitality certification provides recognition of mastery of professional knowledge and skills at every level of your hospitality career. AHLEI provides the study materials and administers the certification process for nearly 30 certification designations trademarked by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).

The Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) designation provides recognition for those individuals who know how to deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences. The CGSP® designation is the highest acknowledgment of awarding-winning guest service for employees in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Properties who certify all guest-facing staff as Certified Guest Service Professionals can earn a Certified Guest Service Property plaque.”

Exam

This individual online training can be completed in two hours. The CGSP® exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions that must be answered within one hour. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% to earn the CGSP® designation.

Awarding Body

Upon successful completion, the candidate will be awarded with:

  • Certification by American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
